I've been looking for a time and PTO tracker for my teams as we grow, and we have been previously using spreadsheets which has become too tedious. I signed up for a trial with Calamari and it was an easy discovery of value for money. Setup was easy, and whenever I encountered hiccups, their support was amazingly responsive (3-4 mins response time). I've seen bugs but they fix it in just a few minutes after I reported it. The effort their support team takes to actually help me out was very much commendable (they fixed my accrual rules, sent me screenshots of my actual account on where I can tweak something). They are also very patient, I love tinkering and their support walked me through the entire setup.The integrations with Slack and Google Calendar are also one of the many things I loved.

Not really a con, but I'd love to see an option to restrict requests on specific months/days.

Calamari can be used for any country and any HR situations. Very helpful when you have several companies all over the world or when you need to adapt to some context.

So far no cons, all the problems we had with this tool were quickly fixed

Integration with Slack, reliability of work, automation of many processes when using tool, team likes it, trusts it and uses it. No need to train or onboard team on the tool, its simple.

Settings around holidays and limitations around breaks types for Slack. Not user friendly reporting. No dashboard of present employees.

I love the Beacon feature which allows our staff to log in automatically when they come on the premises.

Moving employee details like emergency contact details into Core HR was disappointing.

Before calamari we always had a problem to clarify who is available and many hours people were working. There was always a guy who add some hours. Now we have everything in one app

Some of my workers say it has some bugs - on their phones calendar doesn't work

multiplatform integration: IOS, Mac, Teams, Windows, Web, Bluetooth ...

a Bulk system to review bad entries. Some coworkers are very bad at sign in to Calamari, and the administration people has to change one by one.

Simple to use for the normal user, simple overview for attendance in calendar view.

Difficult to set up (solved by free assistance, but sometimes I would prefer to do things on my own).
I would also like to get better reports in the system (not to print or download) but to just view and see status - there are so many options that it always takes time to find the correct view. Usually I end um using the setup part to see the information I want.

It is very easy to schedule time off and fairly easy to set up everything at the beginning.

There is nothing that I dislike. As with all software, there are always a couple of minor things I would do differently, but I am very satisfied with this product.

I dont like that you have removed the birthdays. You are also missing the anniversary dates reminder which would be nice.

Calamari is easy to use and useful for a small employee population. It is simple and you don't have to pay for the big scale HRIS and timekeeping software for a small population. Its features are still targeted not requiring the use of a generic product for the smaller employers. All of the technical support and customer Service I have received has been quick and exceptional!

it would be nice to be able to have at least one report option that is ad hoc and customizable.

There could be improvements made in moving year to year - particularly in setting up standard holiday schedules.

Poor showing time of work, days off etc. in one doc, bearly accepted by inspection of work.

After setting up everything (employees, projects, holidays etc.) it is very fast and easy to use both for main users (technicians and supervisors) and for management.

Necessity to configure everything - it was really time consuming but worth it.
