1Password7 had a local storage with LAN synchronization options so secret storage never went to the cloud, greatly increasing security over the competition.

1Password8 removed the most two most critical features: local vaults and LAN synchronization.

Security is the key to proper growth. Live a secure life with no more fears with 1 password. Best in class of security. Manage access to every application and web count. Sign in to everything from any device. The best you can get out there.

Performs it duties nicely and leaves no room for concerns.

The company, 1Password, is dedicated to the product 1Password. It's all they do and they clearly care to do it well.
They not only stay on top of security trends, but are helping push the industry forward, e.g. with their support and advocacy of passkeys. You can look up technical details of their encryption, audits, etc. better than I can describe them here, but they are copacetic.
They keep the product regularly updated without breaking anything, but making important improvements. They seem to work a lot on user experience, accessibility, and website compatibility.
It has an effective and easy API and CLI tool.
It's really a pleasure to use. As much as one can enjoy the utilitarian role a password manager plays, I enjoy interacting with 1Password. My family is not so nerdy, but they set it up by themselves and actually use it—that's the highest praise I can give.

It's not cheap. It's definitely worth the price, but there are free alternatives.
It's not open source. There are decent reasons [sensitive content hidden] and they have enough other forms of accountability that I am not concerned, but you may prefer open source software.
Sharing items is not quite intuitive. There's sharing with your family/org by moving to a shared folder, then sharing a secure link, and sharing content as text. These different functions have colliding names and inconsistent icons in inconsistent places across the different apps. They do seem to be making incremental improvements in this area lately.

I like the ease of use of the iPhone app and being able to access my data wherever I am via a computer. The selection of options for new items whether it be login credentials or banking information, etc is nice. You can also have your own private logins and passwords and have a shared folder with others you wish to share passwords or logins with.

My only complaint is the user functionality of the iPhone app. I find that it can be difficult to use or find some of the features within the app.

The ability to manage and store critical credentials for purchased applications or customer portals along with the ability to retrieve critical passwords from departed employees when necessary.

We had an issue with email generated invitations not getting through our own firewall to invitees. We opted to provide the link via our internal email system

How easy the software was to use considering we have hundreds of logins, also likes how quick it was to setup on all devices

You can sync it between multiple devices it's quick it's easy it organizes them for you into cards by name or however you want to organize them The customer service is awesome And it's reasonably priced

I wish the aesthetics were a little bit more it's just plain white and blue sometimes it hurts my head but I love everything else

I like how easy it is to both setup, store and update on the go. Using finger print also saves a lot of time, a much more smoother solution than any in browser password manager out there

Could have a better interface on mobile devices, although it works like a charm on MacOS

one can easily forget the strong password that gives access to 1password, as there are no hints.

I have been using 1Password for the past few years. I like their watchtower feature and in-app 2fa function I don't require other 2fa code.

Love using this product for my team. We share a ton of log-ins and having a centralized management tool makes it easy to log-in and access various software and tools we use (web included). Biggest pain this solved for us is when a password reset occurs, we have to track who changed the password, what the new password is, etc. this solved all of it.

The Chrome extension sometimes doesn't auto-populate all fields, have to manually trigger the chrome extension. This isn't a big deal.

1Password allows you to store passwords securely and can be integrated into the browser. It helps you to store data and share it safely when needed. Import also work seamlessly.

I did not find any cons with 1Password so far. All good.

For simple password management for small teams and a relatively affordable per seat price, it gets the job done to meet the minimum standard for password security in today's digital world.

Chrome extension and UI feel a bit clunky and unintuitive for managing passwords and viewing and sharing vaults. 1Password also had a hard time correctly saving login information for forms with 3+ fields, e.g., AWS Console, so I always had to look up my AWS account number to input into the login form.

Hands down the best password manager, trust me.

1Password is an exceptional software idea, is keeping al my passwords safe and unique from each other. It is easy to use and setup.

No cons, did not have any issues with 1Password.

I can use the ap on all my devices, passwords sync seamlessly.

Sometimes the new password/updated password does not save properly and I need to ask for password reset.

Easy to use, able to store all my passwords and not need to type or even know them. Chrome extension makes it easy to generate and automatically store new passwords

For the past few weeks I did have a few bugs with the chrome extension and even when I re-launched it and even closed chrome all together it still didn't work. It was solved a few days later but was still not the best experience.
