The desktop version is easily understood with a clean interface. I like the option of the mobile application as well for on the go record keeping.

I love the idea of the mobile application; however, it freezes all the time and needs the bugs worked out. If you can fix these reoccurring issues I'll be a raving fan.

WAY TOO MANY CLICKS! FP needs to take a note from Apple and make things more intuitive and require less clicks for simple tasks.

Anytime you're going from no structure to full structure, there's a bit of a learning curve. But since everything has been up and running, the team has had little complaints.

There are many characteristics of FunctionPoint that I like but what I like most is that it is a very robust platform that allows our company to do many different tasks including creating estimates, invoices, jobs, and more.

Although the software is consistently updated, the user interface can be very cumbersome to overcome and learn the software.

Easy to fill out time sheets and check on the hours that team members are logging to track to budgets.

Not incredibly intuitive to do much of anything except filling out time sheets with. I've had a lot of questions for our "Function Point Expert" in our office especially when creating budgets with service groups.

As a user and not as an administrator, it's easy to log time, find tasks and ensure you are within the time budgeted to you.

The user interface/dashboard could use some upgrading. Also, the amount of clicks that it takes to find what you're looking for can sometimes be frustrating.

What I like most is adding hours, viewing time sheets, Saving budget codes and billing information is useful.

What I like least is the redundancy it feels like when creating a job. Once I've created an estimate, adding a job seems redundant, and I almost want to go straight to adding a task.

The customizable dashboard is my favorite aspect of Function Point. The fact that each person can organize the information available in a way that compliments their position is invaluable. This is certainly important when each person has a unique hand in the process and needs to view the workload differently.

I think it could benefit from a feature allowing individual companies to further edit and customize certain aspects of the program. Something as simple as removing unused tabs and paring down the options to only that company's essential needs. I feel like this would save time on each individual company's level and make the program more efficient.

I like that the dashboard is customizable and you can set it up how you like it. I also like the way that the notes and comments are structured.

The interface is less than appealing to the eye. It could be sleeker. Also, sometimes there are glitches. Like how you can't cancel when uploading a file if you start uploading the wrong one. You have to upload and then delete.

There are a lot of features that could be disparate apps but all come together nicely in one program. We mostly use for estimating, time tracking, invoicing and reporting. We don't use the brief or schedule features currently but would like to look at them again to see if they might be good for our team now that we've bene using FP for a few years.

It took us a while to set up in a way that made sense for our teams/how we work and to put some best practices into place. When we first started using FP, the Brief and Schedule features were clunky/didn't work for how we work so we haven't been able to utilize them. I also feel like some workflows are clunky and I find myself going back and forth to different views to complete tasks, but make it work!

It is cloud based, easy to search, and simple interface for inputting time by task, or in the week;y view

No way to schedule a task or automatically assigning a task upon completion of a previous task. In other words a need for dependency task.
Currently we use a single note for our developers, and designers to put there needs in. this note gets copied and sent to the client once a week. Since the same note is being edited by different people it sometime would get over written when saved. it would be nice to have an area where they could add a need to a list that has either a date or checkbox to indicate it has been fullfiled. and that need is saved as an individual item in a database.

The software is so user friendly you can figure almost everything out yourself and if not they have a very helpful support team that will help you with your issue.

There are small issues that can get frustrating. Integration with QB is not the best. Invoices and expenses will export twice sometimes even though the export button was only clicked once. Also, FP is able to read QB to tell when an invoice has been paid, which is great, but will not automatically change a job status from Invoiced to Closed once the invoice is paid.

Creating a quick estimate for a potential client can be cumbersome. If the deal doesn't close, then you have this client contact in the system which may not be useful, where adding and maintaining this client is not efficient.

Function Point's Quickbooks Integration is one of the main reasons we chose to go with Function Point. It has been very helpful for our client services and accounting teams when exporting and sending invoices. Although it's not perfect, Function Point's integration with our accounting software makes our invoice delivery system much easier.

We are not aware of other integrations that Function Point offers for other software systems that we use, such as Slack, Google Calendar, Grow, Fathom, DocuSign/Adobe Sign, etc. Also, the reporting feature is under-utilized by our users because some reports require a program that can read XML files. Upgrading and adding new features would make FP even better, and because we've seen the software evolve, we wouldn't be surprised if new features are already in the works.

We love how intuitive the software is and easy to use. The people at the company are great, too, and the training and support is phenomenal. Couldn't recommend it enough...especially after having use a number of advertising software competitors that seem to market towards the accounting folks and have no CLUE how the rest of the agency really uses a project management tool. These people truly get what agencies need.

I wish that they had a media buying aspect to their software. Also the notifications are a bit complex and we get too many emails. But it's a small price to pay for all the other awesomeness of the software.

The best part of FunctionPoint is the ability to work through a task list in order of priority and due dates. This allows for cross-functional teams to work together through large tasks, and work individually and efficiently through the smaller tasks.

FuntionPoint does not allow for a separation between the billable hour, and the hour billed to the client. For example, if a task requires putting off other work, then a "rush charge" may be billed to the client. However, other than inflating billable hours, it is difficult to account for this time in FunctionPoint without creating a manual process for the billing/AR team.

The project management features are rich and allow proposals to be brought directly over and jobs created from them. User task tracking and time management features are deep.

I have enjoyed using the software and not much I dislike. As an online service there are times when outages have occurred at inopportune moments.
