I reviewed several document automation solutions before finding Woodpecker when surfing through Word plug-ins. All of them were too expensive or excessively complex; both reasons militated against either signing up or, if I signed up, wasting money because the system was not implemented. I run a busy practice and needing to devote too much time to set a system up often results in subscriptions not being used, and that was my experience until finding Woodpecker. The staff created all of our templates for us. There are around 37 at this time. The fee was very low for the creation of the templates. The creation is not complex; however, we opted to have the staff create ours in the interest of getting up and running as quickly as possible. Our staff can create the templates as we add them but we wanted to get the bulk done immediately.
