I was searching for a replacement for my previous legal management software and came accross Clio and thought we'd give it a try. It's truly a breath of fresh air compared to what we're used to. The ability to automate client intake and manage cases has made our work much more efficient. Also the integrations with other tools we already use made it so it wasn't like starting from scratch. > > **Desvantagens**: The mobile app seems to have limitations compared to the desktop version, which can be frustrating when traveling and accessing information on the go. I called into support and they were able to help me with what I needed though away from main workstation, and hear that the app is being improved currently. > > Transitioning to Clio has been a game-changer for our practice. With working out of office frequently their cloud based platform allows me to access everything I need from anywhere, which is incredibly convenient. Customer support was top notch when we called in, short wait and easy resolution. While I did experience a slight learning curve initially, the benefits far outweigh any minor hiccups. They also have an extensive help section that allows you to seek assistance at any time and most times I have found a solution. I also like that if allows you to track a client from beginning to end and offers you the option to enter as much information on a client and matter as you wish. > > **Desvantagens**: What I like least about Clio is that there is not an easy way to invoice a client who has hired the firm on a flat rate instead of hourly. It will allow the flat rate however it does not allow you to break down the time with descriptions of the work completed without jumping through a lot of hoops. It can be done however it requires several steps and can use up quite a bit of time. > > My overall experience with Clio has been good. There are several areas where I believe improvements can be made. They are constantly rolling out updates to the software and they do accept recommendations from their subscribers so I believe it will get better with time. Two years later, I’m still waiting for most of that to materialise. I feel let down by the gap between the sales pitch and what’s actually been delivered. Clio may be more developed in other markets, but in Australia, it’s been frustratingly underwhelming.
